happy holidays!

After a very busy pre Christmas time I enjoy the quiet walk through the woods. The world is tucked in a white blanket and all I hear is the crunching snow under my feet.
It's almost Christmas eve and Teddy and I are hunting for a nice little Christmas tree. (Hunting for trees in the woods is only okay in SL. Don't do this in RL except it is allowed where you live.) And then my little SL Christmas tradition starts. I take out my favorite music box (I have bought that music box on my first Christmas in SL) that plays 'Silent Night' while decorating the tree with old and new ornaments I've collected over the years.

jingle bells...

It's cold outside and I'm waiting for the first snowflakes of the winter.
I ate too many of this very yummy Christmas cookie and have an upset stomach. But you know what always helps?
A lazy morning with my favorite hot water bottle, listening to the crackling fire and thinking of what gifts will be inside of this lovely wrapped boxes under the tree.
And I feel better already!
Dancing in my Pyjamas through the house while singing: 'Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh, what fun it is to dance...'

nope... I have to admit I don't know that Doctor, maybe because it never was on german TV (or I missed it)

I just love men with suspenders and bow ties, if it doesn't look too old-fashioned.
And Sidney had a little makeover, doesn't he look handsome?

nu'ville...

Nuville Horrors - a Second Life experience!

I heard about this on plurk and unfortunately I had no time to visit on Halloween. I was so happy when Anya told me that it is still open until February 2nd, 2014.
I will not say much about this, just... go there, it is an adventure, spooky and fun! Also there are 50 wonderful 'trick or treat' gifts waiting.

with the puppy...

I am so in love with this cute dress and the adorable shoes, I put on my favorite bracelet... the only thing missing was a handbag. So I remembered I had this puppy bag, but where was it? After a long search in the deep of my inventory I found it. It is really old but still cute.

not 20 anymore...

Woke up this morning and first thing I saw online was Strawberry's Meme.
I thought it was so cute and funny that I decided to join this meme. Still not sure if I know what a meme is and how it works.. but I figured it's a picture with some text... ahm... something like so.
How ever I like to do this challenge even if today is not my birthday.

Oh yes... when I was 20, at 10pm on a saturday I was dressed up and ready to party or clubbing.
Sometime when I lie on my couch and I see it's 10pm I think of it... and then I am happy I can stay on my comfy couch and don't have to put makeup on or dress fancy. Bounce around too far too loud music, hold my friends hair because she drunk too much... nope... I am really glad I'm not 20 anymore. :)

- The Berlin airlift begins - 1948, that was long before I was born.
- Micheal Jackson died on my 34th birthday. I remember that day very well, because it was the first I heard that day, it came on the radio what woke me up.

colored season

The September came with a cold breeze and rain in RL

once upon a time...

It's time again for Berry's digits challenge. I made this also last year and I liked it very much so I will do it again.

What’s your Digits? – Take 3: Proportions Challenge

Proportions Challenge Questions:
Q: Do you try and keep your avatar’s body proportionate and similar to the “average” proportions in Berry's post?
A: I tried to make my shape realistic but I never used a picture or something, I just used my visual judgement.

Q: What do you dislike the most about the SL avatar mesh?
A: I don't like my skinny legs. My normal legs are not that skinny, but they don't fit into the mesh sizes, they always peek through. With the alpha layer they look too skinny and for a mesh size bigger my butt is too small...

Q: Does it bother you when you see other avatars that are not proportionate at all?
A: No, everyone can be as she / he likes. But I don't like the invisible pony ride legs.

Q: Even though this is a virtual world and people can be anything they want to be, do you feel when they are in human form, they should try to keep their proportions close to average?
A: No. I like the diversity, thats one of the best things in SL.

it's my rezday...

... I'm 6 and I thought that's a good reason to make a little blog post.
Six years in Second Life... Never thought I would stay so long. I met wonderful people, I learned a lot, I found my determination. Thank you!

And I want to stay much longer :)
